Travel Information · Interstates – o I 91 is the major north south route along the eastern border of Vermont – provides high speed access from NYC, Hartford, Springfield, Boston o I 89 goes northwest from White River Junction to Burlington – Provides access from Boston, NH & ME. o I 87 is a good option from Washington, Philly and NYC as it closely parallels the NY/VT border on the NY side. Cross by Ferry once north of Rutland. o State Route 7 is a more leisurely but enjoyable option for accessing attractions in the western part of VT.
Amtrak has two Vermont trains:
· The
"Ethan Allen Express"
- daily service between New York and Rutland, with direct motor coach service to the Killington
